Illustrated Magazine Concept for KSB
For the second issue of KSB’s (Kantonsspital Baden) 2024 quarterly magazine, I was commissioned to lead a unique illustration concept highlighting the hospital’s upcoming new building, scheduled for completion in 2025. The editorial team crafted fictional patient stories to explore the hospital’s future capabilities, and I was tasked with developing a visual storytelling approach using AI-generated imagery via Midjourney.
The challenge was to establish a consistent illustration style that aligned with the magazine's tone while visually supporting the themes of each individual article. Through extensive experimentation and creative direction, I successfully developed a cohesive visual language that elevated the storytelling experience.
The client was extremely pleased with the outcome, and the magazine issue received above-average positive feedback from its readership—marking this AI-illustration pilot as a successful and innovative editorial experiment.
