2021
I established a redesign for the yearly program booklet for the bio and nature garden association Bioterra and subsequent updates until 2024.
Summary
Bioterra wanted a refresh for their yearly program and to incorporate a more organic look with illustrations, new fonts and a revamped color scheme. It needed to complement the current branding of Bioterra while having it's own sub-brand style of fonts and colors.
It was important that we achieved something that would last over the coming years and only would require an update of the information and illustrations.
Challenge
I began with a new simplified layout to feature all the course information in a concise manner. It was imperative to start off with a clean structure as I knew that this design would need to last for the following updates for years to come.
The illustrations also had to keep cohesive over the years and give the program a type of identity that would be instantly recognisable.
Solutions
The result was a clean and nature-inspired look. The course text was structured and the layout allowed for the reader to quickly inform themselves of the course info, while the illustrations took on a more natural and organic look.
I created new illustrations yearly to represent the new roster of courses and varied the overall color scheme slightly to keep it looking fresh. The result was a program that was clearly recognisable and informative.
