WILD

WILD Pharma rebranded their oral care line in 2019. I joined as social media manager and art director, which meant starting with a clean slate.

The brief

I was brought on to build up their social media presence, produce their photo shoots and promote the new visual brand of their oral care line. My colleague and I organised monthly shoots to create new content for the brand.

My time at WILD began with a kickoff branding workshop, held to help focus the goals of the brand and how it wanted to be viewed. The workshop gave me a strong baseline from which to build up the visual identity of the brand.

The shoots

The look and feel came straight out of the workshop results. The goal was photography that felt authentic, warm and trustworthy, and that carried the quality of the products.

It was important to me to feature real people, because real people use the products. I often cast from my own circle of friends — families, or people who enjoyed the products themselves and could speak from experience. Sometimes we would interview them about oral care, so they were genuinely involved rather than just posed. It was also a nice way to spread the word about the brand.

Additionally we would have product photo shoots, where we featured the USP of each product as an ingredient.

The results are warm and inviting.

What I left behind

I handed over a system rather than a backlog: content pillars, a strategy for running them, and a mood defined clearly enough that someone else could shoot to it.

The photography and video we produced outlived the campaign it was made for. It still runs across their products, their marketing material and their point of sale.
